Loved this record in high school and still like it, despite the differences between the songwriters being much more obvious than they were then. What's funny is that I strained to understand the band's spot in the order of things as a teenager in Madison but now that, too, is obvious: they're a little gothy, a little convinced that stagy female vocals make up for a boring melody, and a little too 'professional'.

In other words, they were from Boston.
