dot_fennel100 things that nobody knows about me? No way. But I wonder just how many I *can* come up with...
1. I had never seen a kitten in person before last night. (This surprised me, too. When I actually saw the kitten, though, I was like, man! that's one small cat! even though intellectually I knew better. So I'm pretty sure.)
2. I always want to know how much liquid is in opaque containers. Even if it's a soda can sitting in the gutter I will be tempted to nudge it with my toe as I go by to get a sense of its heft.
3. If you don't count books assigned in class, I read no fiction other than genre F&SF until I was 16, and I've read almost none of it since. I just stopped one day.
4. I was born in Nebraska.
5. My father worked for the predecessor to the Boston Phoenix when he was younger.
6. My grandparents were the only Jews in their town, so they joined the local church to fit in.
7. I hate it when people refer to anything as a 'guilty pleasure'.
8. I can't swim.
9. I went to summer camp with that guy who got busted for posting murderous sexual fantasies about his college classmate in 1995.
Man, this is hard. Everything I can think of is either embarrassing, boring or well-known.

How long did you live in Nebraska? Did you just move here for college?
