Underneath that "I'm riding this guitar all the way to the moon!" riff and Sarah Harmer's passionately sour vocals lies a mild, good-natured pop/rock song. I always think the first half is what I like about this, but probably the contrast makes it all work more than I realize. Harmer has more recently made a few quieter solo albums (one of which, at my record store, came with the least-effective free promo item I've ever gotten: a deep green t-shirt with tiny "Sarah Harmer / You Were Here" logo that I could barely read to start with, and not at all after I washed the shirt once).
