The Secret Stars - "Riot Kill"

Don't let the title put you off; song is cute! Equal parts bouncy and reflective; feels like a grown-up nursery rhyme (perhaps because of the 'Miss Suzy' construction in the last few lines).

It took me an awfully long time to realize that the reason I didn't like any other Secret Stars songs nearly as much as this one was that Geoff Farina wrote most of them, and while I'm sure he's a great guy, I don't dig his music much. "Riot Kill" is sung and, I assume, written by the other half of the band, Jodi Buonanno. It came out on a seven-inch in 1995 which, according to Farina's website, recently went for $100 on eBay. Who loves you, baby?
