The Lines - "Action Fraction"

One more find from the internet before I go into my own archives... "Action/Fraction" sounds like Elvis Costello-- a LOT like him-- but if you have a taste for that sound, letting some bandwagon-jumpers from Long Island fill in the gap is not a bad thing. If you need any more help situating the band's sound within the whole complicated new-wave landscape, elsewhere on his webpage, singer Frank Doris somewhat indignantly reveals that the name came from clotheslines, not, as most assumed, lines of cocaine. Released in 1981 on the Statues EP, the band's second and final recording.
